Steve has coached Tour winners, elite juniors, college players, aspiring professionals, and recreational golfers. His value is not only seeing more. It is helping the player understand what matters now.

He began teaching with the Golf Digest Schools in 1992, became the first Director of Instruction at Troon North Golf Club, and has worked as a PGA Tour teaching professional since 2005. His current and former players have recorded 40 wins on major worldwide tours.

At Coastal, Steve serves as senior teaching professional and leads the college recruiting and elite player development work. He travels to Wilmington for in-person coaching and supports players remotely between visits when appropriate.

Begins his teaching career as a Senior Instructor with the Golf Digest Schools, trained by established Top 100 instructors.

Troon North

Becomes the club's first Director of Instruction and holds the role for 11 years.

Works as a PGA Tour teaching professional with players including Troy Merritt, Sean O'Hair, Kyle Stanley, Steve Allan, Martin Laird, and Carin Koch.
